For Dallas drivers looking for proven performance, versatile cargo-hauling capabilities and crossover sport-like styling, we're quick to introduce them to the Subaru Crosstrek.

While it's only five years old, Subaru shakes things up with the introduction of the 2018 Crosstrek, which features some key differences that we're excited to tell you about. The updated design is sleeker and more eye-catching than before with slight similarities to the Outback. Just like the previous-generation, it features ample ground clearance and 17-inch alloy wheels.

When it comes to performance, the Crosstrek will come with the same engine as its predecessor, a 2.0-liter four-cylinder Boxer engine. Subaru adds more horsepower, bringing it from 148 to 152 horsepower. The 2018 model-year also features a six-speed manual transmission as standard, with the option for a CVT automatic transmission, which will be paired with X mode. The 2018 model also gets Eyesight upgrades, which includes High Beam Assist, Reverse Automatic Braking and more.

The interior is well-appointed with a 6.5-inch touchscreen with Subaru's Starlink system and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. The Crosstrek will also feature a 60/40-split fold-down rear seat. Of course, there's plenty of cargo and passenger space for your four-legged friends, family and your gear.

Stay tuned for further details on pricing and availability as we learn more.
